Although medical emergencies are rare, there’s always a small chance that such an event can happen while our patients are with us. For this reason, our team spent time improving our ability to prevent and handle medical emergencies last month.
On September 12, 2013, Dr. David Barney and our team attended a Sunset Study Club course on Medical Emergency Prevention and Management at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Lake Oswego, OR. This course was a great benefit for our staff and patients, as it improves our office’s ability to better prevent medical emergencies, manage emergencies that may occur, and assess our patients better to know how to better serve each and every one!
